In my last post, I briefly touched upon Kinetics’s music in his feature on Dylan Owen’s song “In The Corner”. Here is the music video for “Still Dreamin'” by Kinetics and Termanology. Kinetics reminds me very much of Immortal Technique, with his deep voice, New York origins, and political lyrics. Kinetics has been creating projects with his producer, One Love, for many years now since they met at Cornell University, but what brought them further into the music world was when they sold the rights to the chorus for B.o.B.’s multi-platinum single “Airplanes”. Still Dreamin’ is off Kinetics and One Love’s second album, You Are Not Alone, which has themes about teen suicide (“Sign Language”) and domestic abuse (“Hideous”), among other social issues.
